Welcome!

Welcome to Minerva's Treasures!๐ŸŒŸ

Good morning everyone and welcome to this little space where I shall be sharing with you whatever happens at Minerva's Treasures.  Let me start by introducing the concept. Minerva's Treasures is a place where one can find anything related to hand made, home grown and home reared stuff.

Let's break that down:

By hand made I mean anything that one can do with their own hands such as crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, resin crafting, paper crafts, do it yourself ideas and anything else that may come to mind at some point or the other.๐Ÿงถ

Home grown on the other hand refers to anything that can be grown in a field or in planters such as flowers, plants, fruit, vegetables...agriculture in a sense but not on a commercial scale, more like a hobbyist kind of thing.๐Ÿชด

Home reared is more or less the same as home grown, only it relates to the growing of animals and birds, be it as pets or for their produce such as hens grown for eggs.๐Ÿ”

All the above topics will he tackled at some point or another as we go along. We might even touch on housekeeping as well, but let us not go so far yet. The idea is to provide experience and insight into these topics and share new discoveries and the ups and downs faced every now and again. I also mean to share with you ideas and projects that one can make so you can join me in my endeavors  from wherever you are.

Finally, I am also a maker of things and a designer, so I will be sharing my work with you here and whenever something is made available I will put it here and give you the directions on how to purchase my items accordingly.

Right now, I am working on a set of Cross Stitch Patterns, as I have loads of ideas swimming in my head and must put them down onto paper. Look out for the first pattern which has already been showcased on my instagram feed and made available there. A dedicated post on the matter will follow soon.

Till next time ๐Ÿ’•

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen it drop last week but if not, below are the detail. The pattern is called Christmas Cat. I know it is still August and way to early to be thinking Christmas, but cross stitch is also a very time consuming hobby and to finish a project in time for the festivities, one must start working on it as early as perhaps late August or early September. This heavily depends on the stitching time that one is willing/can allocate to that particular project and the list of projects on the to do list! Without any further ado, below is a mock up of my Christmas Cat:  Design Details:   Suggested fabric: 18 count aida or equivalent count in evenweave. White or Ecru would make a nice background. Stitch Count: 139 stitches wide by 178 stiches high Floss count: 28 different colours Size: this heavily depends on the fabric count of ...
